Kestrel IDM provides secure, state-of-the-art storage in environmentally controlled, fire-protected facilities equipped and constructed to the appropriate British Standards required for the safe and efficient storage of documents and data. Our data centres provide the following services and facilities:

Clean and secure storage conditions with protection from fire and water, etc.
Data stored out of direct sunlight and other sources of direct light and heat.
Environmental conditions controlled to a temperature of 20°C ± 1°C and a relative humidity maintained at 50% ± 10% throughout the year.
Purpose-built static and mobile racking and shelving systems to accommodate all types of records and data ensuring maximum storage efficiency and security.
Control systems to prevent unauthorised access to the storage area.
Comprehensive building security systems providing full alarm for the building, access control for all entrances/exits, entry detection, camera surveillance.

All data are catalogued at item level to Kestrel’s DataLink Database Software – an Oracle database specifically designed for the management of data stores. DataLink also provides customers with the facility of having their data catalogued to service level, although they have the option of maintaining their own meta data catalogues linked to DataLink by means of a unique reference or location number. Whichever catalogue option is chosen, customers can have web-based access to DataLink to place orders for the retrieval of items from store.
